05.10.09 – Procrastination
I had an essay due on Tuesday. As you would expect, a lot of my weekend was spent procrastinating. How you ask? Why, playing with this shiny new toy of course…
Nokia E75.
GRR!! Do you know how annoyed I am that there is a blasted diagram on the protective film? How silly must people be if Nokia feels the need to do this? I’m really only riled up about this because I’m one of those people that likes to leave this film on new gadgets. It would’ve been perfect, otherwise
I’ve been playing a mental game of chicken with the it, holding out until the annoyance sends me over the edge and has me tearing it off in a fit of oblivious rage. (Yes, I am a freak. The fact that I managed to keep the perfectly untainted film on my 6300 for over two years sort of says something! I will probably end up being one of those Asian mums who keep the plastic on their sofas).
Lo and behold! A slide out QWERTY keyboard and internet access! I have finally stepped into the 21st century!
This took a lot of getting used to. SO many menus. I think I am a very simple girl at heart. I was almost tempted to retreat to the familiarity of my mostly-trusty 6300.
New E75 vs Old 6300
I really liked my old phone and felt a twinge of guilt in abandoning it for something fancier. I swear, I could have used it until I died were it not for the new feature it had developed over the years which erased my text messages in front of my eyes as I was in the middle of typing them. It’s almost as if it was possessed by a ghost. That or it was still punishing me for dropping it down the toilet that one time. Oops. It’s OK though, I will be keeping it as a back up phone in the family which I guess isn’t total abandonment after all.
Do I or do I not have the best boyfriend in the world? David came around with some Red Rooster to make sure I hadn’t hung myself during the essay writing process.
Rooster Roll.
We’re absolutely crazy about these things right now. The bread is OH-SO soft and the mayo creamy with a subtle tang that makes all the difference. Mmm…
